Let Your Imagination Run Free
As we finally reach the peak season of summer, we can experience abundance in so many ways. Mother nature is buzzing with activity. The birds are chirping as if serenading that bounty and beauty. You can smell the sweet scent of flowers in the warm summer breeze and everything that grows is stretching heavenwards towards the sun. All of the insects plants and birds seem to be filled with excitement, putting on their best dress and colors as if strutting their stuff. So much beauty that can be found in mother nature now. Now is the time to reap the rewards from your hard work and yeah… why not strut your stuff! We tend to forget to pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. We usually try to move on to the next task on our list. But you have...
done the work (job, inner work) and now enjoy the splendor of your success.
As creative as mother nature is now so should you be as well. Be as creative as you like. There are no limitations. If you a bursting with many new ideas; write them down. You do not need to get to them all at once. Remember to be a kid again. Play and have fun. When you express yourself creatively you step out of your head and into your heart space; your true self. You will find it easier to see the truth of any situation and take appropriate action as a result. As human beings we tend to try and analyze and solve our problems intellectually, when the truth of the matter is that the mind can never truly know anything until the heart had experienced it. I watched “The Little Prince” a few weeks ago and one of the lines that stuck out to me confirmed my feelings towards this subject: “It's only with the heart that one can see clearly. What's essential is invisible to the eye.”
Inviting creativity into your daily activities can have such a positive affect on all aspects of your life. Not only will it provide you with a renewed sense of passion, vitality and zest for your life, but it will also increase your connection to your intuition and inner wisdom. Because as I said, these things do not reside in the mind but in the heart; your core essence. Creative activities of all sorts are also a great catalyst for processing negative emotions and trauma of any kind. You will find you can experience great relief and a sense of empowerment by honoring your feelings in such a way. Find what creative activity speaks to you. Do not limit yourself with thoughts of imperfection and perceived lack of skill. Stop it! Just do it and have fun doing it. Maybe you can invite family members and friends to join you. You can create great bonds and connections with those you cherish and hold dear. This will also foster a healthy confidence and safe space for our children to express themselves productively. So go on and be creative. Let your imagination run free!
